Comparison

DocuRounds vs Abridge

Abridge is built for health systems. DocuRounds is built so one emergency physician can start an account, get 20 charts free, and sign a note that only contains what they provided.

DocuRounds

Who buys it
An emergency physician, an EM group, or an ED platform.
Price on the public site
First 20 charts free, no card. Chart pack prices are on the pricing page.
Where the note is used
Emergency department documentation.
Unsupported text
If you did not provide it, it does not go in the note. The product omits the line instead of inventing one.

Abridge

Who buys it
Health systems. Public pages cite large-system deployments.
Price on the public site
No per-clinician price is published on Abridge's site.
Where the note is used
Ambient documentation for health systems, including published ambulatory studies.
Unsupported text
Abridge publishes its own research on finding and correcting unsupported statements before the clinician sees the draft.

Abridge's buying motion and research claim are from their public site and the August 18, 2025 whitepaper. DocuRounds pack prices are on the pricing page.

Questions before you pick

Is DocuRounds a health-system rollout?

No. A physician can create an account without a group contract. Groups and platforms can still write through the contact page.

Does DocuRounds publish a confabulation catch rate?

No. The rule on the note is omission: unsupported lines stay out. Abridge describes a detection-and-correction approach in its own August 2025 whitepaper.

Where is that Abridge paper?

Abridge, “Toward Hallucination-Free AI-Generated Clinical Notes,” August 18, 2025, on abridge.com. This page does not repeat their benchmark numbers.
