Who this page applies to
This page applies to clinicians and staff who hold an EDScribe Pro account, including accounts used through the EDScribe Pro mobile and web applications. If your account was provisioned by your hospital, group, or employer, some data may be controlled by that organization and we may need to coordinate the request with them.
How to delete your account
Sign in to EDScribe Pro, open Settings, choose User Profile, and use the Delete account option in the Danger zone. For your protection, the app requires your current password and the typed confirmation DELETE before deletion begins.
If you own a managed facility with other active members, transfer or delete that facility first. Personal facilities without other members are closed automatically during account deletion.
If you cannot access your account
Email support@edscribepro.com with the subject line “Account and Data Deletion Request” from the email address associated with your EDScribe Pro account. Please include:
- Your full name
- The email address on your EDScribe Pro account
- The organization or facility you use EDScribe Pro with, if applicable
We will verify the request came from the account holder before deleting anything. We respond to support deletion requests within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your account credentials and sign-in identity
- Your provider profile, preferences, and personal settings
- Your personal snippets and patient roster workspace data
- Optional voice calibration recordings and any derived voice profile, if you enrolled
- Facility memberships and entitlements tied to your account
What may be retained
- Records we are legally required to keep, such as billing, tax, and security audit records, retained only for as long as the law requires
- Clinical documentation governed by your healthcare organization. EDScribe Pro processes Protected Health Information on behalf of covered entities under Business Associate Agreements; deletion of organizational clinical records is directed by the covered entity, not by individual user requests
- De-identified or aggregated data that no longer identifies you
Deleting data without deleting your account
If you only want to remove your optional voice profile, you can delete it from Settings inside the app at any time without closing your account.
